Govt’s evil-efforts put democracy at stake: Mosharraf


Comilla, Oct 2 (UNB) – BNP standing committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain on Wednesday alleged that the rule of law and
democracy in the country are at stake due to the government’s evil design to hang onto power.

He said the government has lost earth beneath its feet as people lost their confidence in it due to its misrule and widespread corruption.

that the ruling party will face a massive debacle if the election is held under such a government.
He also observed that the country is heading towards confrontation due to the government’s stubbornness to hold the election under a partisan
Mentioning that there is no alternative to restoring the caretaker government to oversee the next polls, Mosharraf said over 90 percent
people of the country are in favour of the opposition’s demand for arranging the election under a non-party administration.
He warned that they will wage a strong movement after October 25 to force the government to concede to their demand.
