Bangladesh conceded a 4-0 defeat against a powerful Australia in their joint World Cup-Asian Cup qualifiers on Tuesday. The hosts went into the break with 4-0 arrears and successfully managed to contain the Australians from making the difference bigger in the second half.Ironically, the scoreline did not reflect how dominant the Socceroos were and, to be honest, it could have been a mightier victory.Tim Cahill scored a hattrick as Asian powerhouse Australia scored four past hosts Bangladesh in the first half of their 2018 World Cup qualifying match at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday. The veteran opened the scoring with just six minutes on the clock, scoring the second on the 32nd minute and bagging a hattrick six minutes later.Socceroos captain Mile Jedinak made it 4-0 two minutes before the break.Bangladesh lost the earlier meet of the two teams 0-5 in Perth.
