Islami Bank opens 331st branch at Phulpur in Mymensingh


Dhaka – Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited opened its 331 st Branch at Phulpur of Mymensingh. Arastoo Khan, Chairman of the Bank inaugurated the branch on 12 December 2017, Tuesday as chief guest. Presided over by Md. Mahbub ul Alam, Additional Managing Director, the program was addressed by Md. Aminul Haque, Phulpur Poura Mayor, Md. Habibur Rahman, Chairman and Monowara Begum, Women Vice Chairman of Phulpur Upazila Parishad and Rashed Hossain Choudhury, Upazila Nirbahi Officer as the special guest.
Md. Shamsul Huda, Executive Vice President of the Bank’s Shari’ah Secretariat discussed on ‘Superiority of Islamic Banking’. Abu Sayed Md. Idris, Head of Mymensingh Zone addressed welcome speech while Md. Abdul Hannan, Head of the Phulpur Branch thanked the audience. Alhajj Abdul Hakim Sarker, Commander, Bangladesh Freedom Fighter Sangsad, Phulpur Upazila, Rasel Ahmed Royel, President of Phulpur Business Association, and Roushan Ara Begum, Principal of Phulpur Women’s Degree College adressed on behalf of the customers and social elites. The executives of the bank, local businesspersons, professionals and prominent personalities were present at the function.
Arastoo Khan in his speech said, Islami Bank is governed by the principles of justice and Shariah. Islami Bank has become the country’s largest bank by compliance of the regulations by all the regulatory authorities and country’s rules properly. Islami Bank has achieved the status of being the only bank from Bangladesh in the list of the world’s best one thousand banks through the trust of the people of the country. Islami Bank is the bank of mass people irrespective of religion, caste and creed.
Md. Mahbub ul Alam said, Islami Bank has been working in the last 34 years to improve the lives of marginalized people through economic development of the country.
