Jamaat leader lands in jail over subversion in Sylhet

Dhaka- A court here on Monday sent a leader of Jamaat-e-Islami to jail rejecting his bail prayer in a case filed for subversive activities.
The Jamaat leader was Maulana Lokman Ahmad, former secretary of the Sylhet district (South) unit of Jamaat and former chairman of South Surma upazila,UNB News Agency Reported.
Earlier, the Jamaat leader surrendered before Sylhet Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court and sought bail in the afternoon.Judge Akbar Hossain Mridha of the court sent him to jail rejecting the bail prayer.
