Kabaddi Team fly for Nepal Tuesday


Dhaka- A 15-member Bangladesh National Kabaddi Team will leave here for Nepal on Tuesday to participate in the four-nation International Friendship Men’s Kabbadi Tournament beginning in Kathmandu on Thursday keeping their eyes on the title.The three other participating countries are India, Sri Lanka and hosts Nepal.Addressing a pre-tour press conference at the Dutch-Bangla Auditorium of BOA on Monday, General Secretary of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation M Habibur Rahman said, “We’re determined to go ahead with our national team and our preparation for the next Asian Games will start through this tournament.” Bangladesh coach Abdul Jalil said, “Our Kabaddi team is out of international match since long. Through this tournament, our players will boost themselves and our target is to clinch the trophy.”Members of Bangladesh team are: players – Masud Karim (Capt), Ruhul Amin, Mohammad Ferdous, Arif Rabbani, Tuhin Tarafder, Momin Mondal, Towhidul Islam, Mohammad Rumanuzzaman, Jahangir Alam, Anwar Hossain, Sabuj Miah and Tanjil Hossain.UNB news agency
