No conspiracy will work in BD, local or foreign: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday said Bangladesh will be built in such a way where there will be no local and foreign conspiracy and no room for bad governance.”Our aim is very much clear… we want to establish Bangladesh as a peaceful country in the South Asia,” she said.

The Prime Minister said this while inaugurating the National Public Service Day, 2017 and distributing Public Administration Award 2017 at Osmani Memorial Auditorium.

She said the Bengalee nation had suffered losses on various occasions in the past due to conspiracies both from home and abroad. “There’ll be no scope for local and foreign conspiracies here.”

Laying emphasis on the continuation of the democratic system in the country, the Prime Minister said the absence of democratic system puts a hurdle on the march forward of a country and it ultimately takes it backwards.
“Make it sure there is no place for misrule and bad governance.”

About the natural disasters in the country, the Prime Minister mentioned that Bangladesh always faces natural calamities due to its geographical location. “We’ve to take forward our country braving all these odds.”

Chaired by Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam, the programme was addressed, among others, by State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadeq and Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam.

Public Administration Senior Secretary Dr M Mozammel Huq Khan delivered the address of welcome.
