Dhaka  – Greek league champion Olympiakos routed last-place Kalloni 5-0 to complete a record-setting season on Sunday.Costas Fortounis and David Fuster gave Olympiakos a 2-0 lead, both with free-kicks, and Pajtim Kasami, Omar Elabdellaoui and Brown Ideye  added goals after the break.Fortounis finished first among Greek league scorers with 18 goals.Olympiakos finished 28 points ahead of second-place AEK, which lost 3-0 at Levadiakos, shattering the record points margin over the
runner-up, which stood at 17 from the 2013-14 season. The margin could still rise if AEK is docked three points for fan violence in a
February game. AEK is currently appealing the sentence. Panathinaikos, a 6-1 winner over Panthrakikos, would then finish
second, 30 points behind Olympiakos.Olympiakos also set records for consecutive wins to open the season (17), consecutive home wins (25) and fewest dropped points (one loss and one draw in 30 games).Swedish forward Marcus Berg scored five goals for Panathinaikos, joining six other players as record scorers in a single Greek league game. Berg finished second to Fortounis in scoring, with 15 goals. Also Sunday, Asteras beat Veria 2-1, Asteras won 1-0 at Panionios, Giannena beat host Xanthi by the same score and Platanias vs. PAOK and Iraklis vs. Panetolikos ended in scoreless draws. The teams that finished from second to fifth – AEK, Panathinaikos, PAOK and Panionios – will play home-and-away playoffs with the winner joining Olympiakos in next season’s Champions League and the other three playing in the Europa League.Kalloni and Panthrakikos were relegated to the second division.(AP/UNB)
