Prime accused in murder case held in Tangail


Police arrested the prime accused in a case  filed for killing a college student on February 20 from Tangail district on Friday.The arrested was identified as Nazmul Hasan, 22, son of Habibor
Rahman of Porabari village in Nalitabari upazila.Arif Hossain, sub-inspector of Nalitabari Police Station and also the investigation officer of the case, said after tracking the mobile phone of the accused, police arrested him from Natun Bus Stand area in the Tangail district town on Friday afternoon.On February 20, Abdur Razzak, 16, a college student along with his three friends went to the Madhutila Echo Park in Nalitabari upazila.At one stage of roaming when they entered the Lalpahar bordering area, a group of miscreants swooped on them and stabbed them indiscriminately, leaving Razzak dead on the spot and three others injured.Later they threw the body from the hill of the area.A case was filed in this connection with Nalitabari Police Station.On March 25, police arrested Mamin Mia, son of Abdul Hanif, another accused in the murder case from Burunga village in the upazila.Meanwhile, he made a confessional statement before the judicial court where he confessed his involvement in the incident. -UNB, Sherpur
