Probe report against Khaleda on hurting religious sentiment deferred

Dhaka-The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Tuesday deferred the submission of the probe report in the case filed against BNP Chief Begum Khaleda Zia for hurting the religious sentiments of the people to October 31.Magistrate Abdullah Al Masud of the court fixed the new date, deferring the date for submission of the probe report for 24 times. The Investigation Officer of the case date not submit any report in the case yesterday (Tuesday).
Jananetri Parishad Prewsident AB Siddiqui filed the case on October 21, 2014, accusing Khaleda Zia for using words intended to create conflict among the people of different social strata.
The case statement says that Khaleda Zia while addressing a function of the Hindu community at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh, on October 14, in 2014, said “Awami League leaders are pretending to be secular but they have no faith in any religion”. “Awami League men attack people of all social strata and occupy religious institutions using secularism as rhetoric when they talk,” she added. -Special Correspondent
