Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) has attained success in reaching its banking services to the farmers doorsteps elevating their living and livelihood condition.
The specialized bank has been working for bringing all the existing agricultural potential sectors and sub-sectors under qualitative and quantitative investments for making the region’s agro-based economy more vibrant.
The observation came in an introductory meeting about RAKUB’s activities with the Probationary Assistant Commissioners of 35th Batch of BCS Administration Cadre held at a city restaurant yesterday evening.
Commissioner of Rajshahi division Noor-Ur-Rahman addressed the meeting as the chief guest while Additional Commissioner Aminul Islam and Deputy Commissioner Kazi Ashraf Uddin spoke as special guests.
With RAKUB Managing Director Kazi Sanaul Haque in the chair, RAKUB General Managers Rafiqul Alam Chowdhury, Mozammel Haque, Khandaker Golam Mostofa and Younus Ali also spoke.
RAKUB, headquartered in Rajshahi, has been operating its banking
activities as the largest development partner in all 16 northwest districts of Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions.
RAKUB Managing Director Sanaul Haque told the meeting that the success has been attained through collective efforts of all the officers and staffs.
As the largest development partner in agriculture as well as agro-based industry sector in the northwestern side of Bangladesh, the bank has already adopted time-fitting work plan which is being implemented at the grassroots levels to make the credit programs easier.
To build a poverty-free Bangladesh, he said the bank had enhanced its lending activities in multipurpose potential fields for boosting agriculture production, intensifying food security and flourishing poultry and dairy sectors to reduce protein deficiency.
He said the bank has been trying its level best to establish a dynamic leadership along with accountability and transparency in all of its branches.
“We are giving more emphasis to enhance credit flow towards exploring the potential sectors of the region,” Kazi Sanaul said, reports BSS from Rajshahi.
