A renovated gallery of ancient musical instruments was inaugurated today at the National Museum at Shahbagh here on Saturday. National Museum Director General Faizul Latif Chowdhury inaugurated the gallery as the chief guest while its secretary Mohammed Shawkat Nabi addressed it as the special guest.
The gallery was kept closed for the last six years.
The gallery contains different ancient musical instruments recovered from Moinamati of Comilla and Paharpur of Naogaon.
The instruments include ‘Kasor’, ‘Ghanta’, ‘Kartal’ ‘Dhak’, flute and ‘Mridango’, reports
