Dhaka – The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Sunday deferred the submission of the investigation report in the case filed against 14 persons including BNP Chief Begum Khaleda Zia for a bomb attack on a procession led by Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan to January 22, 2018.Magistrate Nur Nabi of the CMM Court fixed the new date as the investigation officer of the case did not submit the report yesterday.
The First Information Report (FIR) of the case says that on February 16, 2015, a section of the members of the Muktijodda Parishad gathered in Gulshan area of the city to conduct a raid surrounding the residence of Khaleda Zia.
It has been alleged as 20 to 30 thousand people led by minister Shajahan Khan set out to raid the residence the accused people allegedly hurled bombs on the people of the procession in a bid to kill them.
Ismail Hossain Bachchu, General Secretary of Dhaka Transport Union lodged the case against 14 BNP people including party leader Khaleda Zia. – Special Correspondent
