Ruling party misleading people on BNP’s vision 2030: Fakhrul

Dhaka – BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday accused the ruling party leaders of indulging in bad argument over the party Vision 2030 which was placed last week.“Debate and bad arguments are carried out about the BNP’s vision 2030. The ruling party is trying to mislead the people about the matter,” he said while speaking at a discussion meeting at Dhaka Reporters Unity.
Labour Party, an ally of the BNP-led 20-party alliance, organized the meeting to mark 22nd death anniversary of party’s founder Maulana Abdul Motin. Party chairman Mostafizur Rahman presided over the meeting.
Mirza Alamgir alleged that the ruling party leaders are not going through the contents of the Vision 2030 rather they are criticizing it.
“They are not giving answers to our questions. They are directly rejecting the vision and claiming that we are following them (AL). Through which they are trying to mislead the people,” he said.
The BNP leader said the chairperson has showed a dream to the nation through the vision 2030. It has given an outline as to how she or her party wants to see Bangladesh by 2030, he said.
He termed the vision 2030 as a dream and proposal through which the party has given its plan as to as to how the party, if voted to power, would work.
The leader however said that discussions may take place on it. Some issues might be added and some might be deleted. But the AL is rejecting it and indulged in bad argument without any discussions, he said.
President of Jatiya Ganotantrik Party (Jagpa) Shafiul Alam Prodhan, chairman of Naitonal Peoples Party (NPP), among others, also took part in the discussion. – Staff Reporter
