Russia-Tunisia sign MoU for peaceful use of nuke energy

Russian Federation and Tunisia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in peaceful use of the nuclear energy. The MoU lays the legal foundation for cooperation between the two countries in the areas like development of nuclear energy infrastructure, construction and operation of nuclear reactors in Tunisia, trainings of Tunisian nuclear energy specialists and others.Deputy Director General of Russia’s state nuclear corporation- Rosatom N.N. Spasskiy and the Ambassador of Tunisia to Russia Ali Gutali signed the MoU on behalf of their respective Governments in Moscow yesterday, June 1, 2015.
A joint working group will be formed to determine projects contributing to implementation of the Tunisian National Nuclear Energy Programme and joint venture projects of mutual interests.
An intergovernmental agreement for cooperation in the peaceful use of the nuclear energy is expected to be signed in near future. – Triune Group press release
