Dhaka – The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Monday deferred the submission of further investigation report in the cinema actor Salman Shah murder case.Magistrate Mahmuda Akter passed the order as the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) did not submit the report on Monday.
Complainant’s lawyer Faruque Ahmed told newsmen that they have submitted a clip of vedio message of expatriate Rabeya Sultana in which she said that fugitive Rizvi of the Salman murder case was convicted in another murder case. The lawyer sought warrant of arrest, but the court is yet to pass any order on the issue.
Salman’s mother, complainant of the case, Nila Chowdhury was present in the courtroom. Salman’s wife Samira told police, that on September 6, 1996, Salman’s body was found hanging in his rented house of the city’s New Eskaton Garden. Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the physicians declared him dead.
Salman’s father Kamr Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury lodged a case of unnatural death with Ramna Police Station of the capital. Later, the case made a murder case. – Special Correspondent
