The second senate meeting of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) was held today at the conference room of administrative building on the campus.
Vice-Chancellor of the university and Chairman of its senate Professor Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah presided over the event, a press release said.

Mahabub Ara Begum Gini MP, HN Ashikur Rahman MP, Tipu Munshi MP, Motahar Hossain MP, Advocate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia MP and Member of University Grants Commission Professor Dr Dil Afroza Begum attended the meeting.
Member-secretary of the senate of BRUR and its Registrar Muhammad Ibrahim Kabir conducted the event.
Member of the Planning, Development and Works Committee of BRUR Architect Manjur Kader delivered presentation on the university’s infrastructural development, planning and revised master plan.
In his speech, Professor Dr Kalimullah presented the overall situation of the university. After discussions on various issues, the senate members approved the revised budget of Taka 39.11-crore for the last 2016-2017 fiscal and Taka 39.81-crore budget for the current 2017-2018 fiscal of the university.
The senate members suggested for convening another special senate meeting within this year for necessary discussion and proper implementation of the revised master plan, reports BSS.
