Patuakhali: Sagarkanya Kuakata beach is thronged with tourists during the official two-day holiday, including Victory Day. The arrival of these tourists on the beach started increasing from Friday morning. Due to the long strike and blockade, Kuakata, which has been devoid of tourists, has returned to tourism-related businesses. Smiles appeared on the faces of businessmen. Most hotel motel rooms are booked. Members of the Tourist Police are active in the overall security of the arriving tourists. 

A. Rahim, an umbrella bench trader in the sea beach, said that after the blockade and hartal called by Jamaat-BNP, a large number of tourists have arrived in Kuakata today.

Hotel Motel Owners Association General Secretary Md. Motaleb Sharif said that a good number of tourists are coming today within this one month. All hotels have more or less room bookings. 

Kuakata Tourist Police OC Hasnain Parvez said that many tourists have come since yesterday till today. We are engaged in their service. 

Md. Anwar Hossain Howladar, Mayor of Kuakata Municipality, said, today there are good tourists, because of this, after a long month and a half, all the tourism businessmen have smiles on their faces. - Gofran Biswas Palash
