Two bikers killed in Netrokona road crash

Two motorbike riders were killed and another was injured in a road accident in Gozarmari Bridge area on the Kolmakanda-Durgapur road of the district in the early hours of today.


The deceased were -- Nibir, 24, son of Nayan Mia of Ghoshpara village of Kolmakanda upazila and Sohan, 20, son of Sajib Mia of the same village.

Police said the accident occurred when a motorbike rider lost control over the steering and fell into a road side ditch and injured bike rider and two co-riders critically.

Locals rescued them and sent them to Kolmakanda Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctors declared the death of Nibir and Sohan.

Injured Billal, 18, was sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for better treatment.

Kolmakanda Thana Officer-in-Charge Md Abul Hashem confirmed the incident, saying the bodies were handed over to their relatives after completion of legal procedure, reports BSS.
