A trader was killed and his cousin sustained burn injuries after a gas cylinder exploded at a motor parts shop in the Bangshal area of the capital early Friday.

The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain, 35, a resident of Sharsha upazila in Jashore and owner of the shop in Shia Goli. The injured is Nazmul Hossain, 33, Delwar's cousin.
