Road crash leaves man dead, wife injured in Dinajpur

A man was killed and his wife critically injured when their motorcycle crashed into a truck while attempting to overtake it near the Central Bus Terminal in Dinajpur on Friday.


The deceased was identified as Parmenas Hembrom, 56, son of late Samay Hembrom of Dalla Missionpara in Chirirbandar upazila.

His wife, Selina Kisku, who was riding pillion, was admitted to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital in critical condition.

Eyewitnesses said the motorcycle hit the truck while trying to overtake it, causing both riders to fall onto the road.

Parmenas died on the spot following the accident, reports UNB.
