One killed, 10 injured in Cumilla road accident

A man was killed and 10 others were injured in a road accident in front of Rahat Filling Station in Suagazi area under Cumilla Sadar Dakkhin upazila of the district today.


The deceased was Imran Gazi, 28, son of Fazlul Haque Gazi of Chandpur Sadar upazila.

In-charge of Moynamoti Highway Crossing Thana Abdul Momin said the accident occurred when a passenger bus hit another bus in the area, leaving Imran dead on the spot.

Locals rescued the injured and sent them to Cumilla Medical College Hospital, reports UNB.

Police seized the two vehicles.

Legal action will be taken in this regard, Momin said.
