Man burnt to death in Chattogram house fire

A man was burnt to death in a fire that broke out at a house in Chattogram's Hathazari upazila on Saturday morning.



A man was burnt to death in a fire that broke out at a house in Chattogram's Hathazari upazila on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Forkan, 46, a resident of Langalmora Union.
Locals said a fire originated at a house, owned by Azizulla Munshi, in Ward no 9 of Hathazari municipality around 5:00 am.
On information, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze after two hours of frantic effort, said Hathazari Fire Service and Civil Defence station commander Shahajan.
The fire fighters, later, recovered the charred body of a man from the house. It was learnt that the man was ill. He came to the house for visit.
The body was  handed over to his family, the official added.
