College student killed in Shahbagh road accident

A college student was killed after a truck hit his motorcycle in Shahbagh police station area in the capital early Wednesday.



A college student was killed after a truck hit his motorcycle in Shahbagh police station area in the capital early Wednesday.
Deceased Mohaiminul Islam Sifat, 21, was  the son of Hanif Khandaker, a resident of Kachukhet area in the city. He was a student of BAF Shaheen College.
Fuad, a friend of the victim, said a truck hit Sifat's motorcycle near Shikya Bhaban around 1:15 am, leaving him critically injured.
Sifat was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
DMCH police camp in-charge Bachchu Miah said the body was sent to the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
They, later, informed the police station concerned, he added.
