Four killed in Barishal road accident

Barishal, July 20 -- Four people were killed and three others injured when a bus crashed into a battery-run three-wheeler on the Dhaka-Kuakata highway in Bakerganj upazila of Barishal district on Wednesday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Alauddin Milon, officer-in-charge of Bakerganj Police Station, said the accident occurred when the Barishal-bound bus hit the three-wheeler at high speed, leaving four of its occupants dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent them to a local hospital morgue for post-mortem. "The injured have been hospitalised," the OC said. - UNB
