A man and his daughter were killed as a private car plunged into a roadside ditch in Jaintapur upazila of Sylhet on Friday .



A man and his daughter were killed as a private car plunged into a roadside ditch in Jaintapur upazila of Sylhet on Friday (August 5).

The deceased were known as Rubel Ahmed, 35, and his 1.1 years old daughter Rahi Aktar Adari.

Police and locals said, the Jafalong-bound private car from Sylhet fell into a ditch in Laxmipur area off the Sylhet-Tamabil Highway around 9:30am as its driver lost control over steering.

Later, the fire service personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the two bodies.

Jaintapur police station OC Golam Dastagir Ahmed confirmed the matter.
