3 Rohingya children drown at Bhashanchar

Three Rohingya children including two siblings drowned in a lake at Bhahshanchar in Hatiya upazila on Tuesday.



Noakhali, Aug 24 :  Three Rohingya children including two siblings drowned in a lake at Bhahshanchar in Hatiya upazila of Noakhali district on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Jamal Hossain, 9 and Anisur Rahman Anis, 6, two sons of Dalilur Rahman and Mohammad Hafsa, 5, son of Abdur Sabur.

Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bhashanchar Police Station, said Jamal, Anis, Hafsa and Hafsa’s brother Junayed went to the Chairman Dighi lake in the area and there  in the morning.

Around 11:30 am, three children-Jamal, Anis and Hafsa drowned in the lake.

Noticing it, Junayed went to a nearby cluster and informed locals who rescued the trio and took them to a local hospital where doctors declared them dead, reports UNB.
