A boy reportedly committed suicide as his mother did not allow him to play games in a mobile phone set.



A boy reportedly committed suicide as his mother did not allow him to play games in a mobile phone set.
The incident took place at Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj district around 7:00 am, Sunday.
The deceased was Shah Alam, 17, son of Kabir Ali, a resident of Rohonpur area in the upazila.
Quoting locals, Gomostapur Police Station officer in-charge Almas Ali Sarker said Alam was playing game in a mobile phone set this morning after waking up from sleep. At that time, his mother forcibly took the phone away from him.
Later, Alam went to his room and committed suicide hanging himself from a ceiling fan wrapping his throat with a towel.
On information, police recovered the body, the OC added.
