Laguna driver killed in city road crash

A Laguna (human-hauler) driver was killed as a bus hit his vehicle at Basherpul in Demra of the capital Dhaka on Tuesday .



A Laguna (human-hauler) driver was killed as a bus hit his vehicle at Basherpul in Demra of the capital Dhaka on Tuesday (September 13) morning.
Seven passengers of the Laguna were also injured in this connection.
The deceased is Rajib, 33 and the injured are Sagor Hossain, 18, Abul Bashar, 40, Shanto Ahmed, 19, Abdul Goni, 44, Hridoy, 28, Hasan Ali, 40 and Abdul Baten, 44.
Laguna passengers Hridoy and Baten said a bus of Asian Paribahan hit a Laguna at Basherpul in Demra this morning, leaving eight passengers of the Laguna injured.
Later, the injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared Rajib dead.
Sub-inspector (SI) of Demra Police Station Md. Tajul Islam confirmed the incident.
The bus and Laguna were seized but their drivers managed to flee the scene, he said.
