Two killed as bus hits 3-wheeler in Cumilla

Two people were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Paduar Bazar area on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway.



Two people were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Paduar Bazar area on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway under Sadar Dakshin Thana in the district this morning.
The deceased were identified as Joynal Abedin, 35, son of Siraj Haque, resident of Kismat village in Sadar Dakshin upazila and Imran Hossain, 30, son of Alfu Miah, resident of Durlavpur village of Sadar Dakshin upazila.
The accident occurred when Dhaka-bound bus of 'Econo Paribahan' coming from Chattogram hit the three-wheeler coming from opposite direction in the area around 9am, leaving two passengers of a battery-powered auto rickshaw dead on the spot and two others injured, Akul Chandra Biswas, officer-in-charge (OC) of Mainamati Highway Police Station told BSS.
The injured were taken to Cumilla Medical College and Hospital.
