Man, woman on motorbike killed in Tangail road crash

A man and a woman were killed as an unidentified vehicle hit the motorcycle they were on Dhaka-Bangabandhu bridge highway in Kalihati upazila of Tangail on Sunday night.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, except that one of them was a male and the other a female.

The accident occurred around 8pm when the vehicle hit the motorcycle coming from the opposite direction on the highway in the Analiabari area, leaving the duo dead on the spot, said Shafiqul Islam,  officer-in-charge (OC) of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station.

The victims might have been a couple who were headed towards North Bengal, added the OC, reports UNB.
