Three of a family killed in Faridpur road crash

Three members of a family including father and daughter were killedin Faridpur road crash on Sunday.



Three members of a family including father and daughter were killed as a bus and motorcycle collided head on at Monsurabad bus stand area under Bhanga upazila in Faridpuron Sunday afternoon.
Deceased were Mainuddin Sheikh, 35, son of Bakee Sheikh, his daughter Tabassum, 10, of Dharamdi village under Charjashordi union and his brother-in-law Sourav Matabbor, 16, of Mazardia village in the upazila.
Bhanga Police Station officer in-charge Toimur Alam said a Bangha bound bus of Star line transport smashed the deceased’s motorcycle from the opposite direction when Mainuddin along with his daughter and brother-in-law were going to Gopalganj riding the bike, leaving them dead on the spot.
At that time agitated locals set fire on the bus then members of Fire Service and Civil Defence took the situation under control, the OC added.
