Woman dies as scarf entangled with auto wheel in Habiganj
An elderly woman was killed as her scarf got entangled with a wheel of an auto rickshaw at Harinagar area under Nabiganj upazila in Habiganj .
An elderly woman was killed as her scarf got entangled with a wheel of an auto rickshaw at Harinagar area under Nabiganj upazila in Habiganj district on Saturday morning.
Deceased Saleha Akter, 65, was wife of Md Ismail Mia, a resident of Gumgumia village in the upazila.
Nabiganj Police Station officer-in-charge Md Dalim Ahmed said Saleha Akter fell down from the auto-rickshaw as her scarf got entangled with its wheel, leaving her critically injured.
Locals rescued her and took to Nabiganj Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.
The body was sent to Habiganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy, the OC added.
