3 wounded in Khulna bomb attack
Three people sustained injuries in a bomb attack in Khulna city’s Khanjahan Ali area on Friday night.

The injured — Jahirul Islam Laltu, 40, son of Rahman; Shahidul Islam Tena, 38, son of late Shahidul Islam; and Sagar, 35, son of Md Ashraf Rustom — are from Gilatala area under Khanjahan Ali police station.
Locals said the trio were having tea at a stall in a colony near Sabuj Palli Eidga around 9:30pm.
All of a sudden they heard a big bang when some miscreants hurled a bomb targeting the trio — leaving them injured, they said.
Md Kamal Hossain Khan, officer-in-charge of Khanjahan Ali police station, said on information they rushed to the spot and rescued the three men.
The injured are now receiving treatment at Khulna Medical College hospital, he said, adding that legal actions will be taken in this connection after investigation.
The reason for the attack could not be known immediately, the OC added.
