2 killed in Ctg as pickup van crashes into motorcycle
Two people were killed after a pickup van rammed into a motorcycle in Chattogram's Sitakunda upazila on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Md Yusuf,34, son of Md Musa of Kalushah Nagar area of the upazila and Mohiuddin Raju,30, son of Md Aziz of Sholoshahar of Panchlaish thana of Chattogram.
Amir Uddin, sub-inspector of Baroawlia Highway Police Station, said that the accident occurred around 5 pm as a speeding van mowed a motorcycle in front of the BSRM factory on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway, leaving two motorcyclists dead on the spot.
"On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies," he added.
The bodies were sent to a hospital morgue for autopsies, said the SI, adding that legal action will be taken in this regard. reports UNB.
