CNG--truck collision leaves 2 dead in Netrokona

Netrokona, June 11 - Two people were killed and two were injured in a collision between a CNG autorickshaw and a moving truck on the Netrokona-Mohangonj road of Netrokona on Friday evening.
The deceased were the CNG driver Abul Bashar Fakir(35) and  Siddiqur Rahman (40).
The Officer-in-charge of Netrokona Model Police Station Khandaker Shaker Ahmed confirmed the incident to UNB.
Abul and Siddiqur both died on the spot, and the other injured were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital by the locals in critical condition, he added.
The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to Netrokona Modern Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem, Shaker Ahmed said.
Although the truck has been seized, the truck driver and his helper escaped from the scene. Preparations are underway to file a case in this regard, he added. - UNB
