Construction worker dies ‘falling down stairs’ in Magura

A construction worker died apparently falling down the stairs while working in a four-storey building in Magura.



A construction worker died apparently falling down the stairs while working in a four-storey building in Magura. 

The deceased was identified as Abu Saleh Faisal, 23.

Mustafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Magura Sadar Police Station, said that the accident occurred at Magura PTI Testing School.

According to Nazmul Hasan, the construction foreman, Abu Saleh was working on the fourth floor of the building since morning. 

He fell from the stairs while coming down from the fourth floor and sustained injuries. 

He was immediately taken to Magura Sadar Hospital but was declared dead by the doctor on duty. 

Dr. Muhammad Ehsanul Haque Masum from the emergency department of Magura Sadar Hospital said that Abu Saleh was brought dead to the hospital. 

The cause of his death will be determined after an examination. 

SI Azam Biswas from Magura Sadar Police Station visited the spot and said that an investigation is being conducted to determine whether the death was due to an accident or if there was any other reason behind it.

The body has been kept in the hospital morgue and will be handed over to his family after the legal process is completed, he said. 

A case has been filed at Magura Police Station regarding the incident.
