Cop hit by train dies in Moghbazar, Dhaka

A policeman died after being run over by a train in Moghbazar on Monday.



 A policeman died after being run over by a train in Moghbazar on Monday night.

His name is Md. Yusuf Ali Khan, 59, son of late Abdur Rahim Khan of Barishal’s Bakerganj upazila. He was a police constable in LPR.

Confirming the matter, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Dhaka Railway Police Station Md Iqbal Hossain said Yusuf Ali died on the spot after being run over by the Brahmaputra Express train leaving Dhaka at around 7:30 pm on the railway line between Moghbazar Dilu Road and FDC. At that time, he was walking along the rail line.

The body has been kept in the hospital morgue, ASI Iqbal said.
