Two youths killed in Faridpur road accident
Two young men were killed when their motorcycle collided with a speeding bus at Kanaipur are on the Faridpur-Khulna Highway at Sadar upazila of Faridpur.
Two young men were killed when their motorcycle collided with a speeding bus at Kanaipur are on the Faridpur-Khulna Highway at Sadar upazila of Faridpur district on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened at around 5:30 pm in front of Kanaipur Sugarcane Centre in the upazila.
The deceased were identified as Miraj Hossain, 22, of Badarpur in the city, and Sagar, 25, of Boalmari.
Karimpur Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Shahidur Rahman said the incident happened around 5:30pm when a Faridpur-bound Golden Line Paribahan bus from Bagerhat hit a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.
The driver of the motorcycle, Miraj, was killed on the spot and Sagar, another motorcycle rider, was rescued and sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
He died around 9:55 pm while undergoing treatment there, OC Shahidur said.
Legal procedures were under process in this regard, the OC added.
