Mother, daughter die from electrocution in Jhenaidah

A woman and her daughter died from electrocution at Gobrapara village in Harinakundu upazila of Jhenaidah early Saturday.



A woman and her daughter died from electrocution at Gobrapara village in Harinakundu upazila of Jhenaidah early Saturday (August 26).
The deceased were identified as Mariyam, 65, wife of late Amjad Hossain Malita and her daughter Taslima Khatun, 32.
Quoting locals, police said Taslima came in contact with live electric wire and fell on the floor of their house. When her mother tried to save her, she too electrocuted.
They died on the spot.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Harinakundu police station Abu Azif confirmed the matter.
