A 35-year-old man dies as train crushes him

A 35-year-old man was crushed under the wheels of a train at Kamalapur Railway Station in the capital on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Liton Bhuiya of Pata Kandi Aisharchar village of Cumilla's Titas upazila.

Iqbal Hossain, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Kamalapur Railway Police, said Liton was walking on the track in the station area this morning. He was run over by the Mahua Express train and died on the spot.

On information, police went to the spot and recovered the body, he said.
Later, the body was sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy, he added, reports UNB.
