3 bodies recovered, several others missing as trawler capsizes in Padma
Three bodies were recovered but the identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
At least three bodies were recovered and several others remained missing after a sand-laden bulkhead collided head-on with a trawler on Padma River near Hasail area of Tongibari Upazila of Munshiganj on Saturday evening.
The accident occurred at around 6 pm in the area when the bulkhead collided with Hasail-bound trawler, which was returning from a shoal in the river, leaving several passengers of trawler missing.
Later, three bodies were recovered but the identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Officer-in-charge of Tongibari Police Station Razib Khan said three bodies have, so for, been recovered from the river and several others have remained missing.
