Fire breaks out at N'ganj textile mill
Quoting locals, he said that the fire broke out at a chemical godown of the mill and immediately spread out at the night.
A fire broke out at a textile mill in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj district early Sunday.
The fire erupted at HS Textile Mill in Ariyab area under Rupganj's Tarabo municipality around 2.30am, said Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defence Deputy Managing Director Fakhrul Islam.
Quoting locals, he said that the fire broke out at a chemical godown of the mill and immediately spread out at the night. The chemical godown fully damaged in this incident.
Being informed, six firefighting units from Narayanganj and Demra Fire Stations rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after three hours of attempts, he said.
"The origin of the fire and the extent of the damage yet to be ascertained," the fire station official added.
