Woman using rice cooker electrocuted in Kurigram

Kurigram – A woman on Friday was electrocuted while preparing rice in a rice cooker in Kurigram’s Phulbari.

The deceased was identified as Tahmina Begum (35), wife of Nur Amin of East Fakirpara village in Shimulbari union.

The incident occurred at around 3 pm in their house.

Police citing locals said Tahmina was electrocuted as she switched on the rice cooker in the kitchen to prepare rice.

She was rescued and taken to Phulbari Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.

Fulbari Police Station OC Rajib Kumar Roy said an unnatural death case was filed.UNB
