Mother, son killed in Tangail road accident

A woman and his son were killed in a road accident in Tangail's Gopalpur upazila on Saturday morning.

The accident took place at 8 am in Jhawaile area.

The deceased were Chaina Begum, 48, and his son Sakib, 19. They were the residents of Mouza Dakuri village.

According to local people, Chaina Begum was scheduled to go Dhaka today. For this, she and his son were going to bus stand riding on a motorcycle. When it reached Dorishoya Government Primary School, a running bus of 'Drutogami Paribahan' from opposite direction smashed the vehicle. The woman and his son died on the scene.

Gopalpur Police Station OC Emdadul Islam Taiyob said the bus driver and his assistant managed to flee leaving the bus.
