20 people injured as bus overturns in Dinajpur

Dinajpur, Feb 24 - At least twenty people were injured as a bus overturned in Birganj upazila of Dinajpur district on Saturday.

The identities of the injured people could not be known immediately.

The Panchagarh-bound bus of ‘Tahmina Paribahan’ overturned around 5 pm after its driver lost control over steering, leaving 20 people injured, said Mojibur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) Birganj police station.

On information, Birganj Thana Police and Fire Service Civil Defense personnel conducted a rescue operation and sent the injured to the upazila health complex.

Of them, two with serious injuries were sent to Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital, added the OC. - UNB
