Man hit by motorcycle in Jatrabari dies



Dhaka, Mar 15 - A 40-year-old man died after being hit by a motorcycle at Konapara area of Dhaka's Jatrabari on Friday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Kamal Hossain, son of Sirajul Islam of the area.

Md Akhter Hossain, brother of the victim, said that a speeding motorcycle hit his brother while he was crossing the road after completing his work in his workshop.

Kamal was rescued in a serious condition and was first taken to a local hospital. Later, when his condition deteriorated, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The body has been kept at the hospital morgue, said Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost.

The matter has been informed to the concerned police station, he added.-UNB
