Man electrocuted while cutting tree in Chandpur



Chandpur, Mar 16 - A 28-year-old man died from electrocution while cutting branches of a tree in Chandpur's Faridganj on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahman, son of Abu Musa Patwary.

"When Rahman went to cut the branches of a tree of his grandfather's house he came in contact with an electric wire and sustained severe injuries this noon," said Pradeep Mandal, OC (Investigation) of Faridganj police station.

Later, he was rescued and taken to the upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead.

On information, police recovered the body, added the officer.

Legal process is underway in this matter, he said.-UNB
