Worker killed as girders collapse in Sirajganj



Sirajganj, Apr 2 - A 23-year-old worker was killed and two others injured when three girders of an under-construction bridge collapsed on them at Soydabad in Sirajganj Economic Zone.  

The deceased was identified as Zubayer, son of Mahmud Ali of Sirajganj municipality area.

Sirajul Islam, OC of Sadar Police Station, said three girders of an under-construction bridge collapsed on three workers when they were working under the bridge on Monday, leaving one dead on the spot and two others injured.

On information, police and a firefighting unit rushed to the spot and sent the injured workers to Shaheed M Mansur Ali Medical College and hospital.-UNB
