3 killed in Chandpur road accident
Chandpur, June 11 - Three people were killed and three others were injured in a collision between a truck and a CNG-run auto rickshaw on Chandpur-Cumilla regional highway on Tuesday
One of the deceased was identified as Sobuj ,25, while identities of two others could not be known.
Injured auto-rickshaw driver, Ahad, and another person are undergoing treatment at Chandpur General Hospital.
Traffic on Chandpur-Cumilla regional highway remained suspended for hours, causing long tailbacks
Later, police arrived to normalize traffic movement on the road.
Muhammad Abdur Rashid, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hajiganj Police Station, said, the auto rickshaw and the sand-laden truck involved in the accident were seized but the truck driver managed to flee.
Legal action will be taken, added the OC.-UNB
