A fire broke out in an 11-storied building named Madina Ashiq Tower at Chawkbazar area in the city.

 A fire broke out in an 11-storied building named Madina Ashiq Tower at Chawkbazar area in the city.

The fire started at 6:09 pm on the fifth floor of the building.

Currently four firefighting units are trying to bring the blaze under control, said Shahjahan Sikder, DAD (media cell) of the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters.

However, the origin of the fire could not be known yet , he said.
